You will want S’more of this delicious pie! No bonfire necessary!
Servings: 1 pie
Equipment
- large bowl
- rubber spatula
- 9" pie pan
- kitchen scale
- electric mixer
Ingredients
- 4 oz butter (1 stick)
- 4 oz white sugar (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 egg
- 6 oz flour (about 1 cup)
- 4 oz Graham cracker crumbs (about 1 cup)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 7 oz marshmallow creme (1 container)
- 8 Hershey's chocolate bars (1.55 oz each)
- 2 oz mini marshmallows (about 1 cup)
- 2 oz semisweet chocolate chips (about 1/4 cup)
- baking spray (which has flour in it)
Instructions
Make the crust (15 minutes)
- Soften up the butter, in the microwave or by just leaving it out for a few hours4 oz butter
- Get the electric mixer and large bowl
- Put the sugar and softened butter in the bowl4 oz butter, 4 oz white sugar
- Mix them together until combined
- Add the egg and vanilla1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla
- Mix them in
- Add in flour, graham cracker crumbs and baking powder6 oz flour, 4 oz Graham cracker crumbs, 1 tsp baking powder
- Mix them in, also(You can put the mixer away after this step.)
- Spray a 9″ pie pan with baking spray.baking spray
- Knead by hand to form the mixture into a ball of dough
- Weigh the dough ball and divide it into two equal parts
- Press one of the halves of dough in the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie pan
Add filling (15 minutes)
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Evenly spread the Marshmallow Creme over the bottom crust.7 oz marshmallow creme
- Separate chocolate squares and place on top of the Marshmallow Creme.8 Hershey's chocolate bars
- Place mini marshmallows on top.2 oz mini marshmallows
- Roll out the second half of dough until it's about ½" thick
- Place the dough, in sections if need be, on top of and around all the marshmallows. (They will still show through and that is great!)
- Sprinkle with the chocolate chips2 oz semisweet chocolate chips
Heat and cool the pie (90 minutes)
- Bake 20-30 minutes until the crust is lightly browned and a toothpick comes out of the clean (not counting any accidental marshmallow)(If baking in toaster oven, cover with aluminum to avoid burning)
- Remove pan from oven and set it on a wire rack.
- Cool completely, at least an hour, before cutting, unless you like it gooey
