Alfredo Sauce

Equipment

  • a large skillet
  • a wooden spoon or whatever to stir
  • cheese grater

Ingredients

  • 4 oz butter (1 stick)
  • 3 oz Parmesan cheese (about 2 cups)
  • 1-½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Grate the Parmesan cheese
    3 oz Parmesan cheese
  • Put the butter and heavy cream in the skillet
    4 oz butter, 1-½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • Over medium heat, let the butter melt and bring the liquid mixture to a simmer
  • Turn heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes
  • Stir in the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
    2 tsp minced garlic, ½ tsp Italian seasoning, ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper
  • Keep stirring for about a minute
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan
    3 oz Parmesan cheese
  • Keep stirring until it's melted in
  • Pour the mixture on top of pasta
