Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders

Equipment

  • 1 medium bowl
  • 1 9×13" baking dish
  • 1 serving platter (optional; you can always just eat them over the sink)
  • 1 cake serving utensil or spatula (optional, for transferring to the serving platter)

Ingredients

  • 24 mini sandwich rolls
  • 1 lb deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
  • 6 oz butter (1-½ sticks)
  • 1-½ tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1-½ tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 1-½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF
  • Grease a 9×13" baking dish with oil or butter
  • Separate the tops from the bottoms of the rolls, arranging the bottom pieces in a layer in the greased baking dish
    24 mini sandwich rolls
  • Weigh out half the ham and layer it onto the bottom halves of the rolls
    1 lb deli ham, thinly sliced
  • Layer the cheddar cheese slices on top of the ham
    1 lb cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
  • Layer the rest of the ham on top of the cheddar
    1 lb deli ham, thinly sliced
  • Put the top of the rolls on top of that
    24 mini sandwich rolls
  • Melt the butter in the microwave
    6 oz butter
  • In the medium bowl, mix the melted butter, mustard, dried onion, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds
    6 oz butter, 1-½ tbsp Dijon mustard, 1-½ tbsp poppy seeds, 1 tbsp dried minced onion, 1-½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Pour the mixture over the rolls
  • Bake at 350º for 20 minutes, until the rolls are lightly brown and the cheese has melted
  • Slice between the rolls, through the layers of ham and cheese, to separate them into individual sliders
  • Using a spatula or cake serving utensil, transfer the rolls to your serving platter
